Located two doors down from the Bowling Green Inn the Tap & Cork is another example of the revolution of micropubs opening across the country.  Prior to its current usage 179 Lee Lane had been used as a food outlet for many years. As far back as 1905 a William Thompson was listed there as the proprietor of a fish supper bar in the directory below.

Thereafter, it was the home of Zorba's Fish and Chip shop and then Maza Bite, another fast food outlet. As a micro-pub it was originally opened as the dubTAP but has more recently changed names to the Tap & Cork.
