Standish - Wheatsheaf Hotel

Name: The Wheatsheaf Hotel

Address: Preston Road junction School Lane, Standish

The Wheatsheaf is now a long-forgotten central Standish Pub, which was located on corner plot at the lights where Aldi now stands.  Prior to Aldi it was the site of Gateway and then Somerfield supermarkets and the hotel itself was only demolished along with the adjacent J B Almond's Brewery in November 1982.
