The following list of pubs open for business in the Chorley area was recorded in 1980 and has been provided courtesy of Adrian SMITH from Central Lancs CAMRA having been compiled by one of the CAMRA members back in the day. It's interesting to see how many are now no longer in existence, being used for an alternative purpose or are known by different names e.g. the Railway, which is now the Lock and Quay at Botany Bay (and this too is sadly closed at present!).
A blog about the Inns, Taverns, Pubs, Hotels and Beer Houses of Chorley (Lancashire) and its outlying villages and their Landlords, Inn Keepers and Licensed Victuallers with images, photos, press cuttings and census records.
