Address: Rectory Lane, Standish
The Owls at Standish is located on Rectory Lane in what was once the stables in the grounds of the original Rectory, a rather grand old property (pictured below) which has long since been demolished. It is a restaurant and wedding venue and whilst it has been open for many years it is still one of Standish's newer hostelries. The landlord in 2023 was a Jonathan Peter Hough.

The map above shows the buildings that now make up the Owls just above the Rectory below Rectory Lane. The Rectory Farm buildings above still exist to this day.
The name "Owls at Standish" is derived from the Standish family's coat of arms, which shows an Owl stood over its prey, a rat.
