1861 Census Margaret Barron

Margaret Barron was the daughter of Daniel and Elizabeth Barron who had run the Inn during the 1840s and 50s. After Elizabeth's death in 1856 Margaret ran the pub on her own until 1863 when she married a local man, John Johnson at Holy Trinity Church in Tarleton.  The 1871 census below shows them running the inn together. Also present in the house was Margaret's son Daniel who went on to run the place in the late 1870s.
