GINjarALE opened in December 2019 and was one of number of new bars to be opened in close proximity to the Penwortham Water Tower at the crossroads of Liverpool Road and Cop Lane. It is one of three units located in what was the the old Booth's Supermarket premises that had been closed for a number of years prior to redevelopment.

Pictured to the right of centre on the old postcard above, Booths was clearly just a single unit on the ground floor of No.14 Liverpool Road although expansion in the later part of the 20th century saw a single-story extension added to the front and side that incorporates the three units today.
